Why We Started Castleton

Home care was personal to us before it became our business.

When my grandmother reached her mid-90s, my family turned to home care so she could stay in the house she loved. I saw firsthand what the right caregiver means for someone’s comfort, safety, and independence, and how hard it is when care feels inconsistent or impersonal.

That experience changed my life. I left my corporate career, became a Certified Nursing Assistant, and Ashton and I started Castleton: the kind of local agency we would have trusted with our own family.

Today we’re still personally involved in every client’s care. Families reach us directly, decisions are made locally, and every caregiver is held to the standard we’d expect in our own home.
